ICAR Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension) Dr U S Gautam and Dhanuka Agritech Limited Chairman Dr R G Aggarwal signed this MoU on behalf of respective organisations, the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare said on Wednesday.
Dr Gautam said the objective of this agreement was to utilise the efficiency of both the institutions to deliver new technology to the farmers.

He said that there were more than 14.5 crore farmers across the country, out of which most of the farmers are having small land holdings.
Dhanuka Agritech will provide training related to agricultural production to these small farmers by associating with the central institutes, Agricultural Technology Application Research Institutes (ATARIs) and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).
Deputy Director General of ICAR further said today, the whole world is facing the challenges of climate change and India is no stranger to it, in such a time there is a need for both the institutions to work together on a new method of agricultural production which is climate-friendly.
The aim of this MoU was to promote natural farming in the changing environment, he added.
A day before, the ICAR had signed an MoU with Krishi Jagran Pvt Ltd for the dissemination and promotion of ICAR’s initiatives for the growth of Indian Agriculture and farmers’ welfare.
ICAR emphasised educating the farmers about the upgraded scientific technologies related to agriculture which will help them yield higher profits in improving their livelihood.
It said the MoU will help in the Video production of ICAR Success Stories on social media platforms and promote the success stories of ICAR-developed technologies across India.
